Saintsbury Winery, established in 1981 by enology graduates Richard Ward and David Graves, is renowned for pioneering the production of high-quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Napa Valley's Carneros region. The winery was named in honor of George Saintsbury, a 19th-century English scholar and wine enthusiast, reflecting its founders' commitment to both literature and viticulture. 

Saintsbury's reputation is built upon its elegant, single-vineyard wines that showcase the unique terroir of Carneros. The winery sources grapes from esteemed vineyards, including Sangiacomo Green Acres and Pratt Vineyard, to produce wines with vibrant acidity and rich texture.  Their winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing the natural character of the grapes to shine through.

Enjoy an outside tasting in their English gardens for an intimate study of Saintsbury wines, focusing on Single Vineyard Pinot Noir & Chardonnay. Your dedicated host will guide you through a thoughtfully curated selection of four current release wines and one Cellarbook Pinot Noir while recounting stories of our pioneering past, winemaking, philosophy, and our continued exploration of iconic vineyards.

Whenever possible, tasting includes a guided walkthrough of our working Winery and Cellar.
